Our Services

The ARC Participant Experience

We place great emphasis on providing a positive program experience while helping those we serve to achieve independence and community membership. Our person-centered services are based on needs, choices, and desires expressed by each person who enrolls in our programs, in partnership with his/her support team. To guide us in best supporting the goals of everyone who enrolls in our programs, we engage in a team process to learn what is important to and for each person. Once enrolled in ARC programming, the ARC team is here to support each person’s program experience every step of the way.

Our Services

ARC’s Career Services Department excels at providing an array of career-related services for youth starting at age 14, as well as adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our purpose is to assist each person with advancing along their path to employment. This includes preparing for, gaining, maintaining, and advancing their career.

ARC’s Group Employment Department is a leading provider of vocational rehabilitation training and job placement services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We partner with employers across the central Ohio area to provide employment options in dynamic and supportive working environments where ARC staff members are assigned to each location to support participants on the job.

ARC’s Adult Day Resource Centers provide opportunities for participants to build confidence in new skills, explore areas of interest and expand one’s social circle. We take a person centered approach and engage local community partners in our programming.

ARC’s community based programming is called ASPIRE which provides opportunities for individuals who are interested in exploring their community in small groups. Whether through volunteering or practicing community safety skills, these groups are focused on helping individuals achieve greater independence and community membership.

Transportation

Participants are able to choose their method and provider of transportation attending ARC programs. At ARC we offer optional transportation services to assist individuals with getting to and from our program services and activities, which at times may be more convenient than other transportation options.
