Meet Some of Our Student Interns: Maya Vogelsong & Manda Skaggs – Passionate, Driven, and Ready to Make a Difference!

We’re excited to introduce a few of our newest interns, Maya Vogelsong and Manda Skaggs, two passionate and motivated individuals eager to contribute to our mission!

Maya Vogelsong is currently pursuing a Human Services Assistant (HSA) certification at Columbus State, a program that prepares individuals to excel in the field by providing hands-on training and internship experiences. Maya’s journey into this field began with her interview for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) position last year. As a graduate of Central Crossing High School’s Career Development program, Maya already has valuable practical experience under her belt. Now, as an intern, she’s ready to take her skills to the next level and make a meaningful impact.

Manda Skaggs is a senior at Grove City High School, where she is also involved in the Career Development Program. Like Maya, Manda is gaining hands-on experience in the field as she prepares for a future dedicated to supporting individuals with more complex needs. What makes Manda’s journey especially personal is her deep connection to this work—her uncle received services from ARC East’s adult day program, and she fondly recalls the time they spent together. This experience has inspired her to pursue a career where she can create a positive impact on the lives of others.
